Mechanical and Automation Engineering

This program aims at developing competence with professional skills in core areas of Mechanical and Automation Engineering. It adequate exposure of students to state of art technological developments like CAD, CAM, Mechatronics, Robotics, Pneumatics & Hydraulics, Industry 4.0, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things etc. Since its establishment in the year 1994, the Department of Mechanical Engineering has skilled thousands of undergraduates who are performing successful career in the various sectors of global economy. Earlier, the department was for mechanical engineering and now has been upgraded (Changed in nomenclature) to Mechanical and Automation Engineering. The department has well qualified and experienced faculties. Project Based Learning and Activity Based Learning in addition to traditional classroom model are equipping students with problem solving skills to explore career opportunities in various industrial sectors. The Participation of students in TIFAN and e –Yantra Project competitions are some of the examples of the project based learning. The Department has an excellent placement track record.

Program Outcomes

At the end of the Program/Course the students will be able to:
